Filed under: Useful Stuff — koollog @ 2:12 am

***A short tutorial that will definitely go a long way

YouTube is definitely the most popular video sharing site and I can literally spend my entire day enjoying the videos.

There will be times when you would like to share your favorite videos with your buddies or even save them for your offline viewing.

In this short tutorial we will learn how to download videos from YouTube and use them on our offline players, iPods, iPones, PSPs, your mobile phones or save the audio as an MP3 file.

You will get numerous utility software which will help you download videos, but only a few will be free or will have the video conversion option to be able to use the downloaded videos in your players.

The tutorial starts here:

Action Item 1: Download the YouTube downloader software here and install it on your computer.

Action Item 2: Once you have installed it, open the software on your computer.

Action Item 3: First we will download the video. For this, in the “Enter video URL” field enter the yourtube video url (Eg. http://youtube.com/watch?v=brk62Kwmz0). Then select the “Download video from YouTube” option and click “Ok”. You video download would start now.

Action Item 4: To use the video on different devices we will first need to convert the downloaded video to the appropriate format (By Default the downloaded video would be saved in .flv format).
To do this, select the second option “Covert video (previously downloaded) from file”.

Action Item 5: In the “Select video file” field, browse and select the location of the previously downloaded file that you want to convert. Then in the “Convert to” field select your preferred format as suitable for your offline player and click “Ok”.

That is all and hope this tutorial was useful to you all.

This might seem a little lengthy but once you get going, it is just a matter of a few clicks.

Just the places to buy your glasses

Filed under: Useful Stuff — koollog @ 4:46 am

Well, I always though that the glasses I made for myself were expensive and with similar prices at the stores I had to reluctantly pay for them.

But now I have made a Great Discovry:$ 8 Prescription Glasses From Zenni Optical. These guys have a great collection of stylish prescription glasses and the amazing prices just leave me wanting for more.

These guys manufacture and sell directly with no middleman and much advertising, so the steal of a deal on prices.

Have a look at their portfolio yourself and if you are on glasses, then you must visit them once.

Bar Jokes

Laughter is the best medicine and I seem to be needing it in BIG doses.

Yesterday, I spent most of my online time looking for some jokes for my joke site and well I did manage to stumble upon some really hilarious ones.

For now I have updated the Bar Joke section and well if you are in need of a good laugh, head over to

http://jokes.sutradirectory.com/category/bar-jokes/

One of my favorite joke in this section ;-)

A man walks into a bar and notices a huge pot filled with money sitting in the corner. He asks the bartender about it and the bartender tells him it’s the prize for a contest.

“You pay 5 bucks for a chance to win the pot, and to win it you have to do three things” says the bartender. “First, you have to knock out Spike, our 300-pound bouncer. Second, there’s a pit bull out back who has an abscessed tooth. You have to pull the bad tooth from his mouth. Last, you have to go upstairs to the bedroom. Up there is the owner’s mother. She’s 90 years old, and hasn’t had an orgasm in 30 years If you can make her come, the money’s yours.”

The guy decides to try it and tosses his five bucks in the pot. He walks up to the bouncer and decks the monster with a single punch. Then he goes out back. Soon everyone in the bar hears growling, barking, and yelling, followed by whimpering sounds.

The fellow strolls back into the bar with his clothes ripped up, covered with scratches and bites. “That’s two down!” he says. “Now where’s that old broad with the abscessed tooth?”
