Thoofing me and you

Filed under: Uncategorized — koollog @ 1:37 pm

Do u Thoof ?

Well I do and don’t give me weird looks. I am talking about the new social bookmarking thing to hit the webosphere.

Its all about sharing and discussion your favorite online news and information.

Thats Thoofing !

At Thoof you will find personalized news to suit your preferences.

You can also propose changes or additions to posted content.

Now the big question:
How does Thoof differ from websites like Digg (and others)?

Thoof prevents the “angry mob” from determining relevance and controlling the distribution of news. Thoof tries to serve the individual interests of each user, rather than assuming that everyone is interested in the same topics. Thoof also allows users to improve the quality and accuracy of news items, much like Wikipedia.

Also, now bloggers can display their thoof rank for the content submitted.

The Thoof Ranks determines the popularity of a piece among Thoof users.

It is expressed as a percentage relative to other Thoof stories, so a ThoofRank above 50% indicates that a story is of above average interest to those readers.

Read about it here: http://blog.thoof.com/?p=31

Submitting a story is very simple at Thoof, one can simply bookmark the Thoof It button and any time you want to submit a story, you can just click on it.

Else, you could visit the site and complete the submit form and do remember to use good and descriptive tags for others to get a snapshot of the story topic and content.

So what u waiting for, “Go Thoof

Life as it comes

Filed under: Uncategorized — koollog @ 9:44 am

Wow…….Im living ….have we ever felt so good of our life and if so..how many times do we count our blessings and bless God for the same…Each day as I woke up to a new day,I never took the time to appreciate some of the most beautiful moments of my life..I took each day for granted..Although I got to learn so much I never smiled…I realised I had grown moody…I was only counting my problems as a threat to me,which is not the case..problems come to us to show us that we are strong enough to handle them..They are oppurtunities that make us feel special…I never realised I had wonderful people around me,I had family, friends, good health etc the list may go endless…but today as I opened my eyes to the new day I realised that I need to thank God for making my world so beautiful..
Just recently I had been to a bank and I saw a lady at the counter, she was a middle aged lady and she was making a draft for me ..She had a gentle smile on her face. She was kind and very calm.As she looked at me and finished with my draft,I thanked her and she smiled back.Just than I heard someone say that both her kidneys had failed. She use to have a dialysis and come to work.I just marveled at her strenght to take life so nicely.Although she was going through a lot,she never got irritated on others, she looked like she was in love with her life…I learnt my lesson…Never to quit smiling and never to give up on life..

As I walk I see a lot of people with poverty, they dont have sufficient clothes to wear, sufficient food to eat,no home to stay, some dont even have a family but I definately see a happylook on their faces, they are grateful to live, they enjoy life..The smile on their faces say a lesson worth to be learnt…and that is count your blessings..Smile for today is a gift to us from the Almighty

Today we are given a gift to live..No matter what we face …we need to have a hope that is never dieing..We can make it to the top..Its definately not easy..We all have made a choice to live our lives the way we want to ..We have ambitions and goals in our minds..but it is important to realise we should never forget to enjoy the journey of life that leads us to the destination…We need to smile and enjoy the small bundles of joy and happiness that comes to us in the form of moments that we spend with ourselves, family and friends.

We can make a difference to people around us only if we decide to change our outlook to life..Life is beautiful and the biggest love of my life…is life itself…We must love and respect our lives, our choices and move ahead towards a joyful living…

Regards
Kiviniar & Rvinki

Flags of our fathers

Filed under: Uncategorized — koollog @ 10:59 am

In February, 1945, one of the fiercest battles of the Pacific theater of World War II occurs on the tiny island of Iwo Jima. Thousands of Marines attack the stronghold maintained by thousands of Japanese, and the slaughter on both sides is horrific. Early in the battle, an American flag is raised atop the high point, Mount Suribachi, and a photograph of the raising becomes an American cause celebre. As a powerful inspiration to war-sick Americans, the photo becomes a symbol of the Allied cause. The three surviving flag raisers, Rene Gagnon, John Bradley, and Ira Hayes, are whisked back to civilization to help raise funds for the war effort. But the accolades for heroism heaped upon the three men are at odds with their own personal realizations that thousands of real heroes lie dead on Iwo Jima, and that their own contributions to the fight are only symbolic and not deserving of the singling out they are experiencing. Each of the three must come to terms with the honors, exploitation, and grief that they face simply for being in a photograph.

Bill O’Reilly Loses His Mind

Filed under: Uncategorized — koollog @ 12:12 pm

Bill O’Reilly, reporting on a young girl who was tragically killed by a drunk driver, focuses primarily on the fact that teh criminal was an illegal alien. Geraldo Rivera was on the show and called out O’Reilly’s xenophobia for exactly what it was. This drove Bill O’Reilly insane.
