As you look through the window, you see god. As you drink your glass of morning drink, you drink god. When you pull your pants on, one leg at a time, you wear god. I haven’t been to church since I was 8, but going to church dosen’t make you religeous just like being in a garage dosen’t make you a car. His existence as someone looking down from beyond is a bit ridiculous as well. If you need to believe in some higher power, then believe in yourself. Each and every person in this world IS god.
Let people believe what they want to, and believe what you want to. Politics and religion are two things people should not talk about–they always lead into arguements. If you believe that God exists, then enough is said in His eyes without you even saying a word.
I agree with your first statement, but I disagree with the rest. I think politics and religion should absolutely be talked about. Talk and debate is exactly what creates popular opinion; without it no one would really know what everyone else was saying, and democracy would be ineffective and pointless.
As an agnostic, I believe that everyone is justified in their beliefs; however, I think the human race has clearly expressed this to be insufficient (the crusades being a chief example). What else would be the purpose of missionaries? I challenge you to find a religion that does not either encourage its members to spread it, or condemn those who oppose it.
yea too bad God doesnt exist.
